While volunteering with teen moms in Northern Colorado, Colleen Emery realized the barriers that keep them from achieving their goals including lack of safe housing, educational opportunities, affordable childcare and job skills. That’s when she felt a calling to open a teen mom home. She was excited when she realized she wasn’t alone in this dream. Hope House Colorado is a successful, Denver-based nonprofit that has been serving teen moms through comprehensive Residential and Community Programs for 20 years. Through her persistent training and relationship-building with Hope House Colorado, Colleen was granted its first affiliation. Hope House Northern Colorado was born! She loves serving teen moms in Weld & Larimer counties and helping them build the necessary skills to move towards self-sufficiency.
Colleen has been married to John Emery for 32 years and has 3 grown children. She enjoys golf, snowboarding, pickleball and visiting her children across the country.
